September 14, 2016 – Announcing seven promotions

Amanda Case has been promoted to Underwriter II for Northeast Association Management, Inc. (NEAMI), an association management firm that focuses on providing administrative support to municipal risk pools.

In her new role, Case will be responsible for evaluating potential members for coverage based on loss experience and exposure for NEAMI client Public Employer Risk Management Association (PERMA). She will also evaluate current PERMA members upon renewal.

Case joined NEAMI in 2012 as an underwriter I. Before joining NEAMI, she served for four years as a commercial production underwriter with Farm Family Insurance Companies.

Case earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Saint Rose, and is a resident of Latham, NY.

Linda Johnson has been promoted to Claims Coordinator II for NEAMI. In her new role, Johnson will be responsible for setting up new claims and assisting claims adjusters.

Johnson joined NEAMI in 2013 as a claims coordinator I. Before joining NEAMI, Johnson served as a training registrar for ATC Associates, and as a dental/medical claims specialist for Travelers Insurance.

In her free time, Johnson serves as treasurer of the Verdoy Fire Department Auxiliary. She is a resident of Latham, NY.

Nilsa Quandt has been promoted to Executive Coordinator for NEAMI. In her new role, Quandt will be responsible for administrative support to the NEAMI executive management team and will serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors of NEAMI client PERMA. Her responsibilities will include coordinating management and board functions and retreats, staff and management meetings, assisting with work plans and timetables, and providing project management services for executive initiatives. She will also serve as project manager at the request of NEAMI client AGRiP, and serve as insurance and licensure liaison for all three companies.

Quandt joined NEAMI in 2011 as an executive assistant. Before joining NEAMI, Quandt served as office manager and executive assistant for the Retail Council of New York State, where her work focused on providing executive support to the President and CEO, and bookkeeping and facilities responsibilities.

Quandt has also served as an executive assistant for Vacek, Harris & McCormack, where her work focused on monitoring legislative bills, bookkeeping, and managing lobbyist travel. She started her 18-year administrative support career as an office manager and executive assistant with the New York State Assembly, directing office operations and training new employees.
Quandt is a licensed notary public and a resident of East Greenbush, NY.

Lisa O. Robinson has been promoted to Case Analyst I for NEAMI. In her new role, Robinson will be handling medical workers’ compensation claims for NEAMI client PERMA. She will correspond with injured workers and employers.

Robinson joined NEAMI in October 2014 as a part-time bookkeeper, and was promoted to accounting representative in 2015. Prior to serving NEAMI, she served as a bookkeeper at T.L. Roe, CPA, P.C.

Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Boston College. She is a resident of Delmar.

Jennifer Schacht has been promoted to Audit Supervisor for NEAMI. In her new role, Schacht will be responsible for overseeing all member payroll audit proceedings for NEAMI client PERMA.

Schacht joined NEAMI in 1995 as a receptionist. Over the course of eleven years, she was promoted to administrative assistant and then to member services representative. In 2006, Schacht joined the underwriting department as a payroll auditor, effectively bringing the audit process in-house, where the service had previously been performed by an outside vendor. She was promoted to senior payroll auditor in 2011.

Schacht is a licensed broker with New York State, and has earned and maintained her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation from the National Alliance for Insurance, and her Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP) designation from AMCOMP. She is a resident of Latham, NY.

Alan Sweenor has been promoted to Underwriting Manager for NEAMI. In his new role, Sweenor will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the underwriting team, evaluating performance, overseeing workflow and handling underwriting administration. Sweenor will also be responsible for overseeing larger members and prospects for NEAMI client PERMA, as well as assisting the senior director of underwriting.

Sweenor joined NEAMI in 1999 as a claims coordinator. Since then, he has been promoted to rater, underwriter, senior underwriter, and underwriting supervisor. Before joining NEAMI, Sweenor served as an automobile insurance underwriter for Travelers, and as a rater for the Lawrence Group, handling commercial lines insurance for schools nationwide.

Sweenor is a resident of Whitehall, NY.

Cindy Wright has been promoted to Accounting Representative for NEAMI. In her new role, Wright will be responsible for billing and commissions for NEAMI client PERMA.

Wright joined NEAMI in 2013 as an audit assistant. Since then, she has been promoted to junior auditor and auditor. Before joining NEAMI, Wright worked in accounts for the Silent Partner Group, and as the bookkeeper for Roger Locks, CPA; both in Saratoga Springs.

Wright earned an associate’s degree in Accounting from SUNY Adirondack, and she was proud to earn her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation earlier this year. She is a resident of Delanson, NY.
