January 11, 2017 – Announcing one new hire and two promotions

Marissa DeGeorgia has been hired as a receptionist for Northeast Association Management, Inc. (NEAMI), an association management firm that focuses on providing administrative support to municipal risk pools.

In her role, DeGeorgia will be responsible for managing the telephone lines and front desk for NEAMI and NEAMI client Public Employer Risk Management Association (PERMA). She will also assist PERMA’s finance and claims teams.

DeGeorgia has worked five years in the administrative field. Before joining NEAMI, she served as the workplace coordinator for Wink, as the office coordinator for Vicarious Visions, and as the office coordinator for Quirky. Concurrently, DeGeorgia served as a sous chef at Scotti’s Restaurant and Pizzeria.

DeGeorgia holds associates degrees in Culinary Arts and Hotel and Restaurant Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Resort Management. She is a resident of Schenectady, NY.

Linda Perrone has been promoted to junior payroll auditor for NEAMI. In her new role, Perrone will be responsible for gathering underwriting payroll audit and New York State Workers’ Compensation Board assessments information for NEAMI client PERMA.

Perrone joined NEAMI in 2012 as a receptionist. Before joining NEAMI, she served as a customer representative for Westcott Oil and Frontier Communication.

Perrone began her career with NYNEX (now Verizon) as an assignment clerk and worked her way up to supervisor during her 30-year tenure. During her time at NYNEX, Perrone received recognition from the organization for implementing eco-conscious initiatives, and on multiple occasions from the White House for providing on-the-spot telephone service when the President of the United States visited upstate New York.

Perrone is a resident of Rotterdam, NY.

Laura Roberts has been promoted to systems manager for NEAMI. In her new role, Roberts will be responsible for leadership of the NEAMI technical operations team.

Roberts joined NEAMI in 2000 as a senior programmer, and was promoted to technical business lead in 2012. In total, she has spent 35 years in the information technology field.

Roberts earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from SUNY Oswego is and is a resident of Sloansville, NY.
